My Saint, Tropez: Self Tan Review

For a Sicilian, I'm pretty pasty. Blame it on anaemia or anything you want but the truth is, I just don't go out enough. In the summer (unless I have a job) I'll probably sleep through the morning. Though 3am conversations are the undisputed best, I would like to look a little healthier and less like the vampire and family pictures. So... When all else fails... St. Tropez can do the job.
I started out using Rimmel Bronzing Mousse in medium and loved it last year but I've been removing anything animal tested so I had to do the switch. When I found out St. Tropez was cruelty free, I was in.
St. Tropez Self Tan Express Advanced Bronzing Mousse

The self tan mousse was what I was recommended when I stumbled into the Boots in Westfield (which is huge by the way) as I was starring at the self-tan wall in pure awe. How could there be so many different types? Since the Rimmel mousse I'd used worked alright, I gave it a shot. £32 later, I had my mousse.
First impression:
The smell isn't bad. The mousse is easy to use and you can really alter it to your taste. Leave it on for one hour for a sun-kissed glow, two hours for medium tan and three hours for a darker tan. I thought one hour would hardly make a difference so I let it develop for two. I applied it all over my body but not my face (I'll do a review for the self-tan oil I used from St Tropez for my face).
An Hour Later:
It's slowly developing but I can feel it on my body. I wanted to just rinse it off already but I couldn't... one more hour and I'd be done.

Before vs. After
Two Hours In:
I could finally rinse this self-tan off. Don't get me wrong it isn't too bad but I still felt a little bit paralysed. I felt sticky and just in need of a shower. But... one I had showered the results were brilliant. No streaks and a perfectly bronzed tan. It wasn't too light so that I felt like the waiting was worthless and it wasn't too dark so I looked like a Real Housewife. Like a modern age Goldilocks, the tan was Just right.
Pros: Cons:
Smell wasn't bad Sticky
Tan looks great and natural Felt Stuck in one place for two hours
Cruelty Free
Choice of darkness
Easy to rinse off and wash away mistakes
