Drugstore Buy of The Month! - How to save fading hair and save animals

This month I decided to do what I wanted for a long time and dye my hair. I'm lying out of my teeth; It was a complete whim. Like anything else I do with my hair, I do it on a whim. No haircut I've ever had came with pre-thought and no colour change ever came from a professional. Instead, I see someone on the street, a poster or, just a pretty colour I like and bam! It's on my hair. My whole face changes and mostly, it's for the worse.

Before

Hair Fading, Soul crying.

This time anyway, It was a good whim. And, I easily and cheaply managed to avoid any animal testing or cruelty. My go to brand for any non-animal testing product is Superdrug. It's fantastic. You will find absolutely everything and all of it with the little bunny of moral confidence on the back. Deodorants, hand wash, shampoo, serums, moisturisers, spot sticks... Everything.

The Saviour

I used Superdrug Salon Radiance in 'Intense Red'. M.eo.w. So anyway, the girl at the checkout had beautiful, long, firey hair and my fading gingery, bleached locks felt so very mediocre. I picked up the first Superdrug colour in red and bought it. Done.

Later, I got home and completely forgot to do my colour. Luckily, it takes a perfectly simple 10 minutes to dye your hair with this product so even though it was 23:40, I could still have my hair nice and bright by midnight. No Cinderella pumpkin scenario for me. I left it on for 20 minutes to make sure (my hair is actually impossibly to dye, nothing sticks), rinsed it out, and viola! Red hair.

After

Brights and Lights

Two weeks later my hair is still vibrant. It's still beautiful. It isn't damaged and, with little more than £5 I managed to save money and stop myself from buying an animal tested product that, in my experience, does not do as good a job and costs more. So, stop, think, go cheap, it might do you good.

P R O S : C O N S :

Cheap Not many colours to choose from
